SILICONE SEALANTS
Low Modulus Neutral Grade
Characteristics:
One part, neutral-curing silicone sealant for general purpose sealing for outdoor application to non-porous and porous substrates.
• Ready to use
• Non-sag
• Gunnable at low (-20°C) and high (40°C) temperatures
• Flexible at low (-40°C) and high temperatures (150°C)
• Low shrinkage during vulcanisation
• Solvent free.
• Excellent weatherability
• Neutral cross-linking system: no strong odour.
• Non corrosive to metals
• Suitable for alkaline substrates such as concrete, mortar,
fibre-reinforced concrete
• Compatible with water-based and solvent based paints:
no plasticizer migration (cannot be overpainted)
• Long shelf life: simplified stock keeping
• Rapid cross-linking: quickly become tack free.
• Primeless adhesion to most materials
• Sealing of connecting and expansion joints in the building
industry.
• Industrial sealants in the automotive, aircraft and
shipbuilding industry
• DIY applications (car, boat, caravan, house)
• As sealants in the electronics industry as well as in
mechanical engineering and in silo and container
construction.
• Sealing of joints between glazing and supporting
structure (frame, transoms, mullions)
Due to the risk of dirt pickup around the joint, WÜRTH SILICONE
NEUTRAL must not be used to seal connecting and expansion
joints between non-porous siliceous materials, such as tiles or
ceramics, in exterior applications.
There is also the risk of natural stone e.g. marble, granite and
quartz being stained when they come into contact with WÜRTH
SILICONE NEUTRAL .
WÜRTH SILICONE NEUTRAL must not be used for sealing
aquaria. We recommend our transparent premium grade. (892...)
WÜRTH SILICONE NEUTRAL should not be used in contact with
pre-stressed poly-acrylate or pre-stressed polycarbonate
elements as they may cause stress cracking. Suitable for use with
polycarbonate panels and roofing systems.
WÜRTH SILICONE NEUTRAL may be discoloured in contact with
some organic elastomers, e.g. EPDM, APTK and neoprene.

Storage: Provided the material is stored in a cool (below 25ºC) dry place in airtight containers, WÜRTH PREMIUM SILICONE has a shelf life of at least 12 months from the
date on the delivery note.
Specifications: WÜRTH PREMIUM SILICONE complies with the following standards:
Germany: DIN 18545 "Sealants, designation, requirements, testing": type E sealant
Great Britain: BS 5889, 1989 "One part gun grade silicone based sealants" type A sealant for general use in building joints.
Safety Precautions During vulcanisation acetic, acid is released. These vapours should not be inhaled for long periods or in high concentrations.
During Processing: Hence, good ventilation of the work place is necessary. Should unvulcanized silicone rubber come into contact with eyes or mucous membranes, the affected area
must be rinsed thoroughly with water, as irritation will otherwise be caused. Vulcanized silicone rubber, however, can be handled without any risk to health.
Comprehensive instructions are given in the corresponding Material Safety Data Sheets.
Adhesion: WÜRTH PREMIUM SILICONE exhibits excellent adhesion without primer to non-porous siliceous materials, e.g. glass, tiles, ceramics, enamel, glazed tiles and clinker;
impregnated, varnished or painted wood; plastics, e.g. epoxide, and polyester.
